National reports for Belarusian and Ukrainian ICT domain

One of the earliest tasks of the SCUBE-ICT project is to produce national ICT sector and policy appraisal reports for Belarus and Ukraine. The aim of these reports is to help European ICT researchers, industrialists and policymakers to understand the national ICT sectors and government policies in the two countries.

Through a mixture of research and in depth interviews with Belarusian and Ukrainian ICT stakeholders, the existing ICT governance systems and major socio-economic factors and trends influencing ICT needs and ICT policy priorities will be investigated.

Additionally, the SCUBE-ICT project will examine current ICT cooperation between Belarus and Ukraine with the EU, in order to make policy recommendations to support future ICT cooperation with the EU. Initial versions of the reports are expected to be available from the middle of 2009."
